How to Keep Being Motivated
Personal motivation is the key to maintaining almost all aspects of life. It is a driving force that promotes action. It arouses a person to act towards a desired goal. Sometimes it is really easy to get motivated, and you find yourself in the most beautiful destination where you fulfilled dreams and reached goals. Other times, it is nearly impossible to find ways to motivate yourself, and you feel you are trapped in a death spiral of procrastination. And here I share some of the best ideas on how to stay motivated all the time.
1. Make A Vision Board
Vision board is a collection or collage of images, quotations, and dreams that make you happy. The purpose of creating a vision board is identifying your goals and keeping you focused on what you need the most in life. A vision board creates an emotional connection that motivates you. As Shiv Khera said, “Have a vision. It is the ability to see the invisible. If you can see the invisible, you can achieve the impossible”.
2. Meditating
Using guided meditation will increase your focus, and this helps us stay motivated to reach our destination. Furthermore, meditation helps to keep our concentration levels high. As concentration is inextricably linked to motivation, meditation heightens our motivation levels to keep us taking desired outcomes. When we meditate, we calm down and think deeply about everything that makes us happy and consistently forces us to move forward.
3. Keep A Daily Journal
As one of the most famous writers, Robin Sharma, said, “Maintaining a daily journal is one of the best personal growth initiatives you will ever take. Writing down your daily experiences along with the lessons you have drawn from them, will make you wiser with each passing day. You will develop self-awareness and make fewer mistakes. And keeping a journal will help clarify your intentions that you remain focused on the things that truly count.’’
4. Surround Yourself With Like-Minded People
The company you surround yourself with has a direct influence on how you behave. This quote by Michael Dell from his commencement speech at the University of Texas sums it perfectly:” Try never to be the smartest person in the room. And if you are, I suggest you invite more intelligent people or find a different place. In professional circles, it is called networking. In organizations, it is called team building. And in life, it is called family, friends, and community. We are all gifts to each other, and my own growth as a leader has shown me again and again that the most rewarding experiences come from my relationships”.
5. Watch And Read Motivational Speeches, Stories, Books
Watch and read motivational stories or speeches. Everyone deserves a great pep talk every once in a while. Stay elevated by watching YouTube videos of inspirational moments so you can suddenly feel a new sense of motivation to keep striving. There are millions of inspirational books that are easy to understand and get the power to succeed.
